A space-rocket is reentering Earth, due to earths spinning motion would the rocket appear to zoom across sky?

i'm standing on a mountain lets say, & i see a rocket re-entering earth, due to earth spinning at a couple thousands km/h. Would the rocket appear to zoom across the skies to me?
If so how is this prevented & thus land safely? Does the rocket follow earths spinning motion upon entering?

Yes a space craft aimed at the center of Earth would appear to zoom across the sky at about 1000 kilometers per hour if your mountain is a bit closer to the poles than the to the Equator.Yes typical spacecraft enter Earth's atmosphere approximately tangentially rather than radially. Coming straight down would take a lot more fuel. Typically the space craft stays out at the edge of Earth's atmosphere until it slows to about the speed the ground is moving at.
